Ultra-small and highly-dispersed MoP particles for remarkable enhanced catalytic performance in higher alcohols synthesis
MoP particles highly dispersed in carbon matrix (MoP@C) with an ultra-small size of 2?5?nm were prepared by a precursor pyrolyzing method and their catalytic performance for higher alcohols synthesis from syngas was evaluated in the presence of K as a promoter. The catalytic activity of K/MoP@C was much higher than those of MoP-based catalysts in common use prepared by the temperature programmed reduction (TPR) method. Meanwhile, the thermal stability of the K/MoP@C catalyst was also significantly improved because the carbon-coated MoP particles reduced sintering performance.
