SHEET AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SHEET
This sheet (1) for an absorbent article comprises a plurality of absorbent units (4), each of which includes an elongate base part (2) and water-absorbent polymer particles (3) fixed to a surface of the elongate base part (2). The sheet (1) is formed by arranging the absorbent units (4) such that the longitudinal directions thereof all face in the one direction. Before the water-absorbent polymer particles (3) absorb liquid, the water-absorbent polymer particles (3) are disposed to the inside of both side edges (2s) extending in the longitudinal direction of the elongate base parts (2). When the water-absorbent polymer particles (3) absorb liquid, the water-absorbent polymer particles (3) expand beyond the side edges (2s) extending in the longitudinal direction of the elongate base parts (2), and the positions of the elongate base parts (2) in the thickness direction thereof are different to the positions thereof before the absorption of liquid.
