Companies invited to discuss PCP approach to treating chronic illnesses

European companies are invited to take part in a one day workshop that will introduce them to empattics, an EU-funded project that aims to use pre-commercial procurement (PCP) to find solutions that will improve the lives of those suffering with a chronic disease. The project intends to enhance self-management for people with diabetes, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), or cardiac insufficiency through innovative ICT tools.

The workshops will take place in four European locations in September and October. At the workshops, companies will learn more about the project's work on identifying unmet patients' needs and health challenges, and the PCP approach favoured by the project. Attendees will also have the opportunity to network with others in the field.

Companies can be of any size and from a wide variety of backgrounds, such as those involved in healthcare and digital health, patient and user empowerment, and security and interoperability. Public procurers, clinicians and patient organisations are also welcome to join the dialogue. The workshops are free, but registration is required.
