Organisations in Brussels invited to take part in bio-economy workshop

Public organisations, research centres, universities, SMEs and industries based in Brussels (Belgium) are invited to take part in a workshop focused on opportunities for organisations in the bio-based industry. The event will provide an overview of regional activities linked to bio-based production and the circular economy.

The event will take place on 22 June (1.30 to 4.30pm) and is organised by NCP Brussels and greentech.brussels in collaboration with Enterprise Europe Brussels and the Joint Undertaking on Bio-based Industries. Although it is a free event, registration is required and can be completed until Monday 13 June.

More information on procurement in Belgium is contained in the document "Towards a Belgian and Regional Strategy for the Biobased Economy". The document takes stock of the situation in the country and proposes a framework for Belgian policymakers to enhance the bio-economy. The document also looks at the situation in other countries and regions in Europe, including good practices and benchmarks from Germany, The Netherlands, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, France and Italy.
