CATL provides green power for the first carbon-neutral Asian Games
On 23 September, the 19th Asian Games officially kicked off in Hangzhou, east China's Zhejiang Province. A variety of premier products and solutions of CATL appeared in the Asian Games. CATL once again provides green and low-carbon energy for high-standard international comprehensive sports events following the Beijing Winter Olympics, the FISU World University Games and other global sports events.
"Green" is the defining feature of the 19th Asian Games. With CATL's all-scenario solutions, the feature of "low-carbon" is all shown in green mobility and green logistics at the Asian Games site, as well as green tourism and green energy supply.
01. Green Mobility
The majority of vehicles officially designated for this event and shuttle buses are equipped with CATL EV batteries, guaranteeing the safety and green travel of athletes, event officials and organizers from various countries. Supplies transportation vehicles, dump trucks and emergency and fire-fighting vehicles are important forces to ensure the efficient operation of logistics and transportation for the event, and among them, more than 300 vehicles have adopted the CATL commercial application solutions.

In addition, CATL also dispatched technicians to provide 24h onsite services for vehicles related to the Asian Games and Asian Para Games.
02. Green Tourism
Among the new energy sightseeing boats customized for the Asian Games, five are equipped with CATL batteries. The solution features high level of safety, high energy density, free power distribution, and super strong environmental adaptability, which allows tourists to enjoy the beautiful scenery along the rivers and the Grand Canal in Hangzhou more comfortably.

03. Green Energy Supply
Hongshan Energy Storage Power Station of Xiaoshan Power Plant is the first 35kV energy storage power station of Hangzhou Emergency Power Base, and it is also an important part of multiple measures to ensure a stable power supply for this year's Asian Games. This urban "power bank" consists of 10 mobile energy storage chambers, 10 supporting transformer chambers, 3 high-voltage chambers and 4 mobile energy storage vehicles, for which CATL provides energy storage batteries and solutions.

As the world steps up efforts to reach carbon neutrality, hosting zero-carbon sports events is becoming a common goal, and the use of new energy technologies in sports events is becoming increasingly common. The 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou and other global sports events offer a glimpse of CATL's efforts in promoting global green energy transformation and sustainable development.
In the future, CATL will continue to contribute to the global zero-carbon development with its leading products and services, making continuous efforts for a green future.
