Azek adds furniture to its outdoor products
Chicago-based Azek Co. Inc. is adding a furniture collection and a cabana to its lines of outdoor living products that includes decking, trim and pergolas.
"The new offerings from TimberTech and StruXure give homeowners more design options to better reflect their personal style, while beautifying outdoor spaces to create a seamless extension of the home," Azek CEO Jesse Singh said in a news release.
TimberTech partnered with Loll Designs to craft the furniture in the Invite Collection, which will launch with tables, an Adirondack lounge and a bench made in the United States from a minimum of 25 percent post-consumer material.
The furniture, along with new decking colors, railing and a cabana model will be available in 2023.
Distributors, dealers and contractor partners got a sneak peek at the TimberTech Championship, which is a PGA Tour event, in Boca Raton, Fla. Azek will collect plastic bags from tournament attendees during the week for processing into new TimberTech decking.
Azek has three primary decking product lines: TimberTech Azek, which includes capped PVC collections; and TimberTech Pro and TimberTech Edge, which include polyethylene and wood composite decking lines.
TimberTech Azek is getting another color for its Landmark collection, which is made from 60 percent recycled PVC scrap, such as pipe and vinyl siding. The color is called Boardwalk and it was designed to resemble aged white oak or cypress for a weathered-wood look.
The TimberTech Reserve collection, which is a composite decking line, is getting a new color called Reclaimed Chestnut.
Azek's new railing offering includes new PVC products with moisture and UV resistance while the new Cabana X model comes in powder-coated metal finishes.
With an estimated $785 million in profile sales, Azek ranks ninth among North American pipe, profile and tubing extruders, according to Plastics News data.
