Hyundai taxis in Paris, autonomous FCEV, land speed record

Korean automaker Hyundai delivered five ix35 Fuel Cell cars to the Paris-based electric taxi startup STEP (Société du Taxi Electrique Parisien), to coincide with the opening of the first hydrogen refueling station in Paris [ see page 7], as part of the preparations for the recent 2015 UN Climate Change Conference (COP21) in the French capital. Hyundai has also begun testing a fully autonomous fuel cell electric vehicle on public roads in the US, and its Tucson (ix35) Fuel Cell became the first mass-produced FCEV to exceed 94 mph (151 km/h), at a site in the California desert.
