AIJU, sharing knowledge in the industrial environment with LIFE FUTURE project

AIJU is a research centre specialized in toys, children’s products and leisure, based in Spain (Europe) and also established in China (Asia).

AIJU is made up of a multidisciplinary team of over 70 experts in child safety, advanced manufacturing, market, consumer psychology, education, etc.

AIJU’s objective is to optimize the process of creating and developing children’s products from the initial idea until its launch onto the market. With over 25 years of experience, AIJU advised hundreds of companies (small, large, multinational), on thousands of products to ensure their success.

AIJU offers you a wide range of technological services aimed at improving the quality of products and business competitiveness, adapting products to legislative and technological requirements, and market forces at any given time; in the areas of child and product safety, technology advice, testing, design and product development, prototyping, improved industrial processes, adapting products to the market, consumer knowledge of children, psychologist counselling, training, etc.

AIJU counts with more than 450 associates from the following sectors: toy, childcare, promotions, playgrounds, sports and leisure, health and childcare, plastic, tooling-moulds, packaging, recycling, education, electrical-electronic, energy applied to children's products, consumer goods and equipment, etc.

AIJU provides technological innovation as a tool to improve Competitiveness and Enterprise Development.

AIJU’s facilities cover over 5,000 m2 and include modern and highly qualified equipment, in particular a physical toy safety laboratory, an instrumentation and chemical safety laboratory, a laboratory for the safety of childcare articles, a laboratory for playground safety, a materials testing laboratory, energy laboratories, child lab, toy lab, rapid prototyping department, pilot department for plastic transformation processes, training classrooms, library.

AIJU’s mission within LIFE FUTURE Project is to share their knowledge and experience both in the industrial environment and in the safety of the playing areas.

Thanks to this knowledge in the industrial environment, AIJU is involved in different activities of the project such as the urban furniture life cycle assessment, the GUF Tool development, etc.

In other hand, AIJU’s knowledge in playground areas is also used to carry out the following actions, among others:

• Inspection and testing of playground equipment and surfacing.

• Inspection and testing of sports facilities (goals, baskets, multisport tracks...)
