Wet bench technology for chemical processing in microelectronics, solar and biomedical industry
Since all things electronic in our modern world are founded on semiconductor integrated circuit technology, the satellite businesses or support services have arisen and thrived around the precise science of manufacturing semiconductor chips or wafers. The Italian company has 30 years of experience and builds the semiconductor wet bench and ultra-pure fluid transfer systems.
Typically, a wet bench is a fully-automated process tool used to carry out wet cleaning and etching operations in semiconductor manufacturing or other high technology sectors (photovoltaic, solar, biomedical industry). Wet benches are essential components in the production and treatment of silicon wafers through an innovative cleaning system which, in a controlled environment, eliminates the risk of particle contamination during the production process. It assures safety for the operators reducing or eliminating the direct contact with harmful chemicals and solvents.
The Italian high-tech company has honed the wet bench technology in cooperation with a main customer, a large Italian microelectronics company.
The system has been manufactured on specific demand of the customers. The wet bench construction materials are:
--Teflon PFA (perfluoroalkoxy copolymer resin),
--PVDF (Polyvinylidene fluoride),
-PPS (Polyphenylene sulfide),
-CORZAN PVC-C sheets.
It is realized with clean system that allows obtaining smooth surfaces without flaw; the folding system consists in eliminating the parts to knit with thermal perforation during the planning phase. No particles contamination means greater wafer production and thus cost reduction for the customer.
The development of a modular wet bench system is the result of years of experience in the semiconductor industry that led to a research project for the development of this new, innovative technology. It includes fully automatic, semi-automatic and manual options, with a choice of linear and rotary robotics.
The planning and design of company wet benches and fluid transfer systems takes place in the Project & Design Division where the team of engineers works at direct and close contact with the clients to develop and offer turnkey solutions that satisfy and meet the customer?s requirements.
The Italian company is looking for industrial partners from microelectronics and semiconductors fields aiming at developing innovative, fully automated wet benches technology.
Biomedical, photovoltaic and solar industry utilize this process technology as well. The market forecast of this application in the sector microelectronics, photovoltaic and solar, biomedical are very positive.
The partner sought has to be interested to utilize the wet bench chemical process equipment for joint venture or manufacturing agreement.
