Discover GPP good practices for more products or services sectors

Since January 2010, the European Commission has been promoting good practice experiences on GPP to illustrate how public authorities in Europe have successfully 'greened' a public tender or procurement process. These include the use of life-cycle costing (LCC), circular economy principles, and approaches fostering sustainable innovation, among others. In the future, the use of the GUF Tool could also become key practice for a successful GPP.

Good practices exist for all fields, not only urban furniture: buildings, cleaning products and services, indoor, lighting, office IT equipment, waste management, etc. Factsheets have been created and are available online providing information on the background, the procurement objectives, the criteria used, the results and also the environmental impacts. In addition, a “lessons learned” section provides some tips for replicating experiences.
