Hands-on the GUF Tool in Koprivnica and Valencia

Life cycle assessment of street furniture can be a significant commitment for public employees involved in public procurement. To simplify assessment processes, LIFE FUTURE partners have not only designed the GUF tool but are also in charge of organising training sessions to demonstrate practically how to use the GUF Tool!

Strong of their experience as project partners but also building on the test they realised to buy some urban furniture through the GUF Tool, the city of Koprivnica and Las Naves are tasked with organising training sessions in both Koprivnica and Valencia. If the session in Valencia already took place, on 23 October 2018, there are still two yet to come in Koprivnica!

The aim of these capacity-building workshops, targeting in particular public servants, is to explain in details how the GUF Tool works and what the advantages of using it are for public authorities. The following topics are covered:

• Presentation of the general frame of the national law regarding green public procurement;
• Presentation of the LIFE FUTURE project;
• Snapshot of the GUF TOOL;
• Practical session.

During the practical session participants will have the opportunity to test the GUF Tool while being accompanied by experienced users. In this way, they will have the possibility to ask questions and receive answers directly.

The two workshops in Koprivnica will take place on 15 and 29 November 2018. Should you be interested in attending a workshop, please contact Maja Balaško (maja.balasko@koprivnica.hr).
